- Registering a .TV domain name will support the FutureNow project in Tuvalu. This was part of the agreement between GoDaddy and the Government of Tuvalu.
Domain registrar and web hosting company GoDaddy has announcement a marketing campaign for the TV domain extension. The company has been selected as the new registry operator for .TV ccTLDin December 2021.
Turn on the TV
With a commitment to take .TV into its next phase of global growth, GoDaddy unveiled its expansion plan and brought it to market with a campaign never before done for a domain name by the company before. The domain name is the country code for a small island called Tuvalu in the South Pacific. But it is mainly used for sites related to video, streaming and other types of broadcasting.
GoDaddy has created a website named Turn on the TV to launch the associated marketing campaign. The company unveiled a new logo, tagline, creative assets and headline message for the campaign. On the site it is indicated;
“The .TV top-level domain is designed for today’s democratized world of content creation, streaming and social media. Whether it’s launching a new movie or music video, or streaming your daily content, .TV lets the world know you have something to watch. Bloggers, YouTubers, Twitch streamers, Instagram influencers, TikTok stars, and everyday entrepreneurs are growing their fans, followers, and impact on .TV. And you can too. »
As the .TV domain is the country code top level domain for Tuvalu, when registering a .TV domain name it will provide support for the Future project now which is Tuvalu’s current mission to mitigate the impact of climate change and preserve its sovereignty as a digital nation. .TV domain names are available at all GoDaddy outlets the partners.
